Chicago, here we come

Mommy and Owen will for sure be going to Chicago the weekend of August 9.  We fly in late Friday and leave early Sunday but we will at least be there to enjoy some time with our Fryksdale family and cousin Betsy’s wedding.  Daddy and Bridget’s plans are TBD… stay tuned!

Owen’s baptism is tomorrow, July 26, at 3 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on H and 7th.  We are very excited.  Uncle arrived with a “pimpin” white suit for his godson to wear.  Deacon Bill and our McFadden family are here and the McGee family arrive tomorrow morning by plane.  We are looking forward to bringing our little man into the Church and enjoying time with our family and friends.  Please join us!

Hey everyone. TheMcGees.net has a brand new look. It’s a little sharper, and it will allow us to post more frequent updates to keep everyone up to date on all the excitement. We’re still working out the bugs and adding some content, so bear with us, but overall this should make the website a lot more user friendly.

I spent all afternoon Monday looking for a cow moose we released a few years ago to see if she had a calf this year. After beating the brush for hours, and seemingly walking around in circles, I finally found the moose. Sadly she didn’t have a calf with her this year.

Wednesday I had better luck.  Despite bouncing radio signals, thick willows, and swarms of killer mosquitoes I found another cow moose, and this one did have a new calf.  While I was looking for the cow moose I almost walked right into a bull moose that was in the same area.  Very cool.
